As well a few academic papers, I have written a number of short popular science articles for fanzines. These often use far-fetched, loosely science-based incidents in science fiction books as a basis for examining genuine scientific ideas and principles. Topics covered have included the possibility of a 10th planet in the solar system, teleportation, perpetual motion machines, time travel and ray-guns.

I was also lucky enough to work on the book Big Bang by Simon Singh. Though Simon is a physicist he did not specialise in cosmology or general relativity, and I assisted him with these topics and proof-read the book.
